No, no fees apply for receiving bills from DHL Express e-Billing.

The PDF invoice has a digital signature (AES = "Advanced Electronic Signature"). This qualified electronic signature uses certified technology to guarantees that this invoice: 

a) is issued by DHL Express
b) has not been altered since it was issued

Save the invoice electronically as a PDF. The expanded electronic signature proves that it is an original invoice from DHL.

Then, you can do the following:

• Pay the bill in the same way as you have previously paid paper-based invoices.
• Download the invoice in CSV or XML or ebXML format (for ebXML you need to have the right reader installed)  and then import it into your accounting system.
• Download the invoice in CSV format and then process it using Excel.
  

Note: Unfortunately the file is only available in German.

DHL Express offers an online archive with twelve months of storage time. The online archiving of your invoices starts the first time an electronic invoice is received. Invoices that were previously received in paper-form cannot be subsequently stored and made available in the online archive.

You can select a different language or change your password for e-Billing online (see the "My Profile" field).

Click on "My Profile", and select the assigned customer account number to which you would like to add additional users. Then click on "Save" to save your changes in the system.

No. You do not need any separate software or hardware to receive invoices electronically from DHL Express.

You do need to ensure, however, that your internet e-mail settings for "Spam/Junk Filter" do not block the following address: rechnung.de@dhl.com

The e-Billing customer solution was designed to be compatible with Internet Explorer 6.0 and higher as well as Adobe Version 7 and up.

Since January of 2010, all electronic invoices must comply with all statutory VAT requirements of the country in which the beneficiary (you, as DHL Express customer) is registered with regard to VAT law.

"Electronic Invoice Presentment and Payment (EIPP)" is a system that allows invoices, credit notes and other accounting documents to be electronically prepared and made available to customers via the internet.

Currently, you may only make inquiries using existing methods. The online inquiry function will be activated at a later time.

Currently, you must pay your invoices in the same manner as you currently pay your paper-based invoices. The online payment function will be activated at a later time.

Go to the e-Billing internet page and download the invoice as a PDF in order to obtain the electronic signature. Thanks to a high-tech electronic signature, the electronic invoice is unique and can be downloaded as many times as you want. Because of the uniqueness, copies of the invoice do not have to be designated with the word "duplicate".

A sophisticated electronic signature (AES = "Advanced Electronic Signature") is required in Germany and the EU to make the e-bill comply with the law. The AES is a kind of electronic authentication that is attached to the data that is to be signed. The AES is unique and assigned only to the signatory (=DHL), and therefore serves to unequivocally identify the sender. The AES is created by using tools that allow the signatory (=DHL) to make changes that are within its control; this is connected in such a way with the data that any changes to the data are detectable. It is visibly apparent on the bill in its PDF form.

• SENDEN (being sent) = Your invoice has been processed and is currently being sent to you
• SENDEN FEHLGESCHLAGEN (delivery unsuccessful) = A problem occurred during the sending of your invoice and your invoice could not be delivered to you
• GESENDET (sent) = Your invoice was successfully sent
  

Click on the "Validate signature" link below to download a short guide (created with Adobe Acrobat Reader) that will explain how to check the digital signature on the PDF invoice. If you select an invoice in e-Billing, you can also use the check box to download the digital signature attached to this invoice as a PDF as often as you want.

In order to unsubscribe to the service, please send your request to the e-mail address listed under "Contact us" (esolution.support@dhl.com) and provide us with all the DHL customer account numbers registered for you that are no longer to be used in the e-Billing process.

For technical problems, please send your request to the e-mail address listed under "Contact us" (esolution.support@dhl.com) and give a brief description where you are having the problem in the e-Billing system (registration, changing your password, adding a new e-Billing user, registering complaints, displaying invoices, requesting copies, etc.) It is important to provide additional information about the customer account number/invoice number and e-mail address where the problem occurred so that we can fix the problem more quickly.
